Boom, Van den Brand dominate Dutch CX

Agence France Presse Lars Boom (Rabobank) and Daphny van den Brand claimed the elite titles at the Dutch cyclocross championships on Sunday in Heerlen, the Netherlands. Boom collected his second consecutive elite title by outsprinting Gerben de Knegt, who crossed two seconds later. Thijs Al finished third, a further second behind. The 24-year-old Dutch champion said afterward that he would not contest the world championships later this month in the Czech Republic and would instead concentrate on the upcoming road season. In

USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals 20...The USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals took place in Bend, Oregon on December 10-13th, 2009. The bike race event features a festival atmosphere with parties, bike artwalks and flim festivals and the popular Clydesdale Race featuring an icy night race on the main course for those who are of a larger stature than most. Clydesdale racers were cheered on and beered on by the crowd. The last day before the Elite race, the racers and crowd were amped up by the beat of drummers. Mark your calendar for the 2010 Cross Nationals happening on December 9-12th in Bend, Oregon once again. It will be bigger and better!
