Milan-San Remo 1993, peloton descen...After cycling up and down the Poggio (drama-inducing hill just before the finish), I positioned myself in a strategic hairpin on the descent, and waited for the 1993 race to arrive. This clip captures the TV helicopters, the anticipation amid the tifosi (cycling fans), the organizers' cars and police/media motorcycles, winner Maurizio Fondriest of the Lampre team, the peloton chasing after him,and the caravan of team cars. At the very end, I'm overtaken by packs of stragglers with improper zoom adjustment... oops.
